DMAE is a very effective anti-oxidant and free radical deactivator.  It reverses the fromation of so-called aging spots or liver spots.  The same pigment that causes these spots also tends to clog the brain and nerve cells as we age.  DMAE also helps prevent the clumping of red blood cells, making them more available to carry oxygen to the tissues of the body.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is a highly potent anti-oxidant which counteracts the free radicals in the mitochondria (the power source of cells).  some scientists feel that mitochondrial free radicals play a large role in human aging.  There is also evidence that lipoic acid can reduce damage due to excess glucose in the blood which may also be involved in aging.
