FIND YOUR FACE SHAPE & CHECK OUT THESE HAIR DO’S & DON’TS

Round Face: Do choose hair styles that will add height to lengthen your face. Keep hair Close to sides or pulled behind the ears. Try a side part with diagonal bang. Long hair should be worn straight.

Don’t have horizontal bang across forehead, center parts, or full rounded styles. Avoid styles that add width to cheeks.

Rectangle Face: Do use bang to cut length of face. Styles with fullness at sides add width to shorten long faces. Best to keep ears covered. Bobs are great for the long narrow face.

Don’t pull hair back exposing forehead and never pile hair directly on top for up do’s. Avoid long straight hair, waves add width.

Square Face: Do wear styles with soft curves that or shorter or longer than jawline. Side dipping bang softens width at forehead.

Don’t add fullness at jawline or wear horizontal bang. Avoid center parts and flat, boxey cuts.

Pear Face: Do add width to a narrow forehead by adding full wide bang. Long hair should fall flat over cheeks or gather to back of head. Short styles should flow up and back. Center parts add width to narrow foreheads.

Don’t add fullness to jawline with hair cuts like chin length bobs. Never fully expose narrow forehead or focus attention on the wider jawline.

Diamond Face: Do choose hairstyles that conceal narrow forehead with fuller bangs or layered wavy lengths at temple. Hair styles need to fill out jaw-line. Again bobs can come to the rescue.

Don’t completely expose forehead, ears, or pointed chin. Avoid middle parts, flat tops, and fullness at cheeks.

Heart Face: Do add fullness below ears to soften narrow jaws. Wear side parts and dipping bang soften wide foreheads.

Don’t add fullness at temples with shorter styles or expose broad forehead by pulling hair back into ponytails.

I hope these tips help you find the best hair style that will flatter your face and bring out your best features.

The Perfect Brow

THE WELL-BALANCED EYE The well-balanced eye can be determined by using these proportions. Remember, these are approximate proportions. The eyebrow starts right above the inner corner of the eye, arches over the center of the eye, and ends at a point created by drawing a line from the outside edge of the nostril straight up through the outer edge of the eye. The area from the lash to the crease is approximately one-half the size of the area between the crease and the peak of the eyebrow. The distance between the eyes should equal the size of one from tear duct to outer corner.
THE CLOSE-SET EYE Even eyes that are close-set can be improved by a brow shape-up. We must create the illusion of more space between the eyes. The brow must begin slightly beyond inner corner (hairs must be plucked or waxed). The arch should be slightly beyond center toward outer corner, and end beyond regular point. Examine normal eye lines and corrective lines on the drawing. Eye lining should be feathered on outer two thirds of eye, top and bottom to draw outwards.
THE FAR-SET EYE Not all eyes are created equal. The goal for wide-set eyes is to bring them closer together or more centered. We can do this by shaping up our eyebrows properly. First, we must begin the brow line slightly closer to the nose than to the inner corner. The arch will also move slightly beyond center of eye and will end shorter. Examine the drawing of the normal lines and the corrective lines. Eye lining can be feathered from inner to outer corner, top and bottom.
THE PERFECT BROW is easy to get when you understand the placement of the eye and how it relates to the brow. Study the diagrams to determine which best describes your eye. If you are not sure, get a small ruler or pencil and mirrow and start measuring. Measure your eye and the distance between the eyes and choose the instructions that most apply. Our Brush On Brow imparts soft, natural color to fill in sparse brows. If you don't want to use harsh dyes to color that gray then use our Brow Tints that gently color hair strands. It looks incredible naural and washes off at the end of the day.

TIPS FOR LIPS

For uneven lip lines, bring foundation over natural lip line before applying liner or lipstick. The Stick Foundation works great to camouflage this problem.

Remember, light colors and frosted shades enlarge lips while dark colors reduce size. If you need fuller lips and can’t afford the surgery or injections, try our Protein Lip Plumper, it really adds 40% more fullness and rehydrates removing folds and cracking. If your lips or already full and voluptuous, keep them conditioned with our Vitamin E Stick.

If lips are narrow, line lips just outside natural line with a medium neutral shade, and fill in with a bit lighter or frosted lip color or gloss. Cognac Lip Liner works great for those of warm skin and Cappuccino Lip Liner for cooler (pink tones) skin.

If lips are full, you are lucky, but remember when lining, line just inside lip line and avoid frosted lip shades. Lip Glosses are best with deeper tints.

If lips are smaller on one side, use a neutral lip liner to build it up to match larger side. Light skin should use Cappuccino Lip Liner, Fig Lip Liner is great for Olive skin, and Darker skin should go with Mahogany Lip Liner.

Lip liners stop lipstick bleeding. Try our Clear Liner around outside edge of lips if you have that problem.

HAPPY LIPS DON’T SINK SHIPS!!

AFTER THOUSANDS OF MAKEOVERS, I HAVE COME UP WITH TWO TECHNIQUES. ONE WILL WORK FOR YOU

DEEP SET, CLOSE SET, SMALL AND MOST EYES
1. Shade inner corner of eye and inner bridge of nose with nude shadow or nude highlighter. This lifts eye out of that sunken look to camouflage dark circles that extend into eye area, and gives width between eyes.
2. Next, place a light neutral or pastel color over entire lid and under brow area.
3. Finally, contour outer half of eye with a darker shade, in the shape of a half of almond. If eyes are close-set or small, then this contouring shadow should extend past outer corner of eye and down under lower lashes to widen and open.

NO EYELIDS, DROOPY EYELIDS, BULGING EYES, AND LARGE LIDS
1. Shade inner corner of eye and inner bridge of nose with nude shadow or nude highlighter. This camouflages dark circles that creep up into eye area, making us look older. You can skip this step if your eyes are far set.
2. Cover under brow area with light neutral shades to emphasize brow bone.
3. To de-emphasize large or bulging lids and droopy overhanging skin, place a dark shadow completely across the bottom one half of eye from inner corner to slightly past outer corner and under lower lash. This shadow placement should be shaped like an almond and not wing up in an unnatural fashion.
